Reconstruction, Modernisation
and Expansion Delivered
End to End
From reconstruction and modernisation to expansion, equipment replacement and commissioning, SBS Global Power delivers engineering projects that restore and strengthen critical infrastructure.
Get in TouchPartnering With Us
SBS Global Power offers clients and partners a coordinated route from project concept to operational delivery, with a single technical point of contact managing the engineering scope from first assessment through to handover.
We work collaboratively with public authorities, municipalities, infrastructure owners, engineering contractors, manufacturers, investors and international development organisations, adapting our delivery model to fit each partner's procurement and reporting requirements.
Whether the requirement is a single facility upgrade or a full site-wide reconstruction programme, our teams scope the work in detail before mobilisation so cost and schedule expectations are set correctly from day one.
International Expertise
Engineering solutions developed in accordance with recognised international quality, safety and project management standards, with documentation supplied for every stage of design and delivery.
Full Cycle Delivery
One coordinated team supporting technical assessment, design, procurement, installation, commissioning and aftercare, so clients are never handed off between disconnected contractors mid-project.
Clear Accountability
Defined responsibilities, transparent reporting and single point coordination throughout the project lifecycle, so clients always know who is accountable for what and when.

Engineering Projects Scope
Reconstruction
Rebuilding damaged or degraded facilities back to safe, reliable operating condition, including structural assessment, civil repair, and re-establishment of core utilities before mechanical and electrical systems are reinstated.
Modernisation
Upgrading legacy systems and equipment to current technical and safety standards, replacing obsolete controls and instrumentation while keeping disruption to ongoing operations to a minimum.
Expansion
Increasing capacity through new build and extension of existing facilities, phased to allow continued operation of adjacent systems throughout construction wherever the site layout permits.
Equipment Replacement
Sourcing and installing replacement equipment matched to current operational needs, with compatibility checks against existing infrastructure carried out before procurement is finalised.
Commissioning
Verifying systems perform to specification before handover into full operation, including functional testing, performance verification, and documented sign-off against agreed acceptance criteria.
Maintenance and Aftercare
Ongoing support and scheduled maintenance to protect the life of the completed project, structured around measured condition data rather than fixed calendar intervals alone.
Certifications and Compliance Frameworks
We do not treat compliance as a single certificate on a wall. Our teams work to a defined set of international and local standards on every project, and we can supply documentary evidence of compliance at any stage of delivery.
Industries We Work With
Energy and Power Generation
Generation plant, substations, and transmission infrastructure requiring phased reconstruction or modernisation without extended outages.
Industrial and Manufacturing
Processing plants and production facilities where expansion and equipment replacement must be sequenced around continued operation.
Critical and Municipal Infrastructure
Public facilities and civic buildings that require coordination with municipal authorities and public safety officials throughout delivery.
Post-Conflict Recovery
Reconstruction programmes rebuilding damaged infrastructure at scale, often requiring rapid technical assessment across many sites at once.
Full Cycle Turnkey Project Delivery
Technical Assessment
We evaluate the condition of existing assets, define project requirements, and identify the most appropriate technical and commercial solution, including a structural and utilities survey before any design work begins.
Engineering and Design
We prepare the technical documentation required to deliver the project in accordance with applicable international and local standards, sequencing the design around phased handover where the site needs to remain partially operational.
Procurement and Implementation
We coordinate equipment sourcing, logistics, installation, construction activity, and contractor performance, with progress reported against agreed milestones throughout delivery.
Common Questions About Our Engineering Projects
Can you take on a project that requires a full site to keep operating during construction?
Yes. Where a site needs to remain partially operational, we sequence the design and construction plan into phases so work happens around live systems rather than requiring a full shutdown. This is confirmed during the technical assessment stage before any construction activity begins.
Do you handle both reconstruction of damaged facilities and new build expansion?
Yes, both fall under the same engineering projects scope. We assess whether reconstruction, expansion, or a combination of both is the right approach based on the condition of existing assets and the client's operational requirements, rather than defaulting to a new build where repair is viable.
Which standards do you work to on engineering projects?
We work to ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety, and ISO 14001 for environmental management, alongside applicable IEC and NEC electrical codes and host-country regulatory requirements. Documentary evidence of compliance can be supplied at any stage of a project.
How do you handle equipment replacement when the original manufacturer is no longer available?
We carry out a compatibility assessment against the existing infrastructure and identify equivalent equipment from active manufacturers where the original supplier has discontinued the product line. This is confirmed and agreed with the client before procurement is finalised.
What happens after commissioning is complete?
Maintenance and aftercare support continues after handover, structured around measured condition data rather than a fixed calendar schedule alone, so intervention happens when the equipment or facility condition actually calls for it.
