HV and LV Systems Built
for Reliable Power Delivery
From substations and transformers to battery storage and protection systems, SBS Global Power delivers electrical engineering that keeps critical infrastructure powered and secure.
Get in TouchPartnering With Us
SBS Global Power offers clients and partners a coordinated route from project concept to operational delivery, with a single technical point of contact managing the electrical scope from first assessment through to commissioning.
We work collaboratively with public authorities, municipalities, infrastructure owners, engineering contractors, manufacturers, investors and international development organisations, adapting our delivery model to fit each partner's procurement and reporting requirements.
Whether the requirement is a single substation upgrade or a full site-wide electrical rebuild, our teams scope the work in detail before mobilisation so cost and schedule expectations are set correctly from day one.
Certified Standards
Electrical solutions developed in accordance with IEC and NEC electrical codes, ISO 9001 quality management, and applicable host-country regulatory requirements, with documentation supplied for every stage of design and installation.
Full Lifecycle Support
One coordinated team supporting assessment, design, procurement, installation, commissioning and aftercare, so clients are never handed off between disconnected contractors mid-project.
Grid Reliability
Experienced engineers delivering resilient power systems built for demanding operational environments, including sites with unstable grid supply, extreme temperature ranges, or limited access to spare parts.

Electrical Works Scope
HV and LV Systems
We design, install, and commission complete high and low voltage installations sized to the demands of the site, including load calculations, cable sizing, and coordination studies to confirm protection devices are correctly rated end to end.
Substations
Substation construction, refurbishment, and voltage upgrades supporting stable transmission and distribution, covering civil works, switchgear installation, earthing systems, and protection relay configuration.
Transformers and Switchgear
Sourcing, installation, and testing of power and distribution transformers and switchgear across all voltage classes, including oil sampling, insulation resistance testing, and factory acceptance witnessing where required.
Battery Energy Storage Systems
Storage solutions integrated to balance load, buffer intermittent supply, and support grid resilience, sized against measured demand profiles rather than generic capacity assumptions.
Cable Networks
Design, laying, and termination of underground and overhead cable networks connecting facilities end to end, including route surveys, thermal rating checks, and cable pulling in constrained or occupied sites.
Protection and Control Systems
Relay protection and control architecture designed to isolate faults quickly and protect connected assets, including SCADA integration and remote monitoring where the site infrastructure supports it.
Backup and Emergency Power
Generator and emergency power systems that keep critical operations running when it matters most, including automatic transfer switch configuration and load-shedding logic for sites with tiered priority circuits.
Electrical Testing and Commissioning
Full testing and commissioning to verify performance before systems go live, covering insulation resistance, earth loop impedance, thermal imaging, and functional testing of protection and control logic.
Brands and Manufacturers We Service
We work across major electrical equipment manufacturers rather than a single proprietary system, so clients are not locked into a single vendor for future maintenance or spare parts.
Industries We Work With
Energy and Power Generation
Substations, transformers, generation plant, and transmission infrastructure requiring live-system safety protocols and precise protection coordination.
Industrial and Manufacturing
Production lines, processing plants, and rotating equipment where power quality, backup supply, and controlled shutdown sequencing are operationally critical.
Critical and Municipal Infrastructure
Water treatment plants, hospitals, and public facilities where uninterrupted supply and rapid fault isolation directly affect public safety.
Post-Conflict Recovery
Reconstruction sites requiring rebuilt distribution networks, temporary power solutions, and phased re-energisation as infrastructure comes back online.
Full Cycle Turnkey Project Delivery
Technical Assessment
We evaluate the condition of existing assets, define project requirements, and identify the most appropriate technical and commercial solution. For electrical scopes this includes load surveys, protection coordination review, and an initial site safety audit before design begins.
Engineering and Design
We prepare the technical documentation required to deliver the project in accordance with applicable international and local standards, including single line diagrams, protection settings, and cable schedules reviewed against IEC and NEC requirements.
Procurement and Implementation
We coordinate equipment sourcing, logistics, installation, construction activity, and contractor performance, with factory acceptance testing witnessed where equipment values or lead times justify it, and commissioning scheduled around planned outage windows.
Common Questions About Our Electrical Works
Do you work on existing electrical infrastructure or only new installations?
Both. A significant share of our electrical scope is refurbishment and upgrade work on existing substations, switchgear, and distribution networks, alongside new build projects. We assess the condition of existing assets first and recommend repair, upgrade, or replacement based on what is technically and commercially justified.
What voltage classes do you work with?
We work across low voltage, medium voltage, and high voltage systems, from building distribution boards through to substation-level transmission infrastructure. The specific voltage class is confirmed during the technical assessment stage of any project.
Can you supply and install battery storage alongside existing generation?
Yes. We size and integrate battery energy storage systems against the site's actual measured demand profile rather than a generic capacity estimate, and coordinate the integration with existing generation, backup power, and protection systems already on site.
How do you handle commissioning on sites that cannot afford extended downtime?
Commissioning is scheduled around planned outage windows agreed with the client in advance, and phased where the site layout allows sections to be energised independently. Where possible, testing is front-loaded during the procurement and factory acceptance stage to reduce the on-site commissioning window.
Which manufacturers' equipment can you service?
We work across major electrical equipment manufacturers including ABB, Siemens, Schneider Electric, General Electric, Eaton, Hyundai Electric, Legrand, Cummins Power Generation, and Caterpillar Electric Power, among others. We are not tied to a single proprietary system, which keeps future maintenance and spare parts sourcing flexible for the client.
